When we talk about the DC Extended Universe, there are so many different things that we could complain about, since there have been so many different issues with so many of their movies so far. However, when it comes to the Superman movie Man of Steel, there is one thing in particular which the fans were very disappointed about and that was the lack of the iconic red trunks that we had become so used to
British actor Henry Cavill has yet to really work as Superman for many of the comic book movie fans but it is still that lack of red trunks which seems to have so many of these fans disappointed with the character. Henry has now played the role of Clark Kent aka Superman in three DC movies and he has gradually seemed to grow into the role and fans are hoping that a Man of Steel 2 movie can really bring him into his own.
Well, with it now being confirmed that the iconic red superman trunks are going to be reintroduced into the comic books after a seven-year absence, in celebration of the 1000th issue, there has been talk that we could well see Henry Cavill wearing the red trunks as part of the new Superman costume for the planned Man of Steel sequel.
As well as bringing back the red trunks, it seems that the comic book movie fans would also like to see the costume being much lighter and brighter, as they feel the darker suit does not represent his personality as it should be. Hopefully Warner Bros. and DC listen to what the fans have to say, as making these changes to the costume for Man of Steel 2 could certainly help to bring round some of the critics.
