Australian actor Hugh Jackman will forever be remember for his role as Wolverine in the X-Men movies and fans were devastated to learn that the actor was giving up the role after the third and final installment of the Wolverine standalone movies. However, it now sounds like we just might get to see Hugh Jackman making a return as the character at least one more time after Wolverine 3.

Following the growing support for the new movie Deadpool, it looks like Hugh Jackman has found a new level of excitement for the future of Wolverine. Those of you who have been following the Deadpool promotion campaign, will have seen the video where the character has a dig at Wolverine, and Hugh has now hit back, stating that he would be up for facing him in the Deadpool sequel.
Jackman explained, "Love it. It’s just brilliant. I mean, I love Ryan, he’s a good mate of mine. He’s so fantastic. I’ve never thought about it till now, but doing something with Ryan – he’s awesome – that’s always attractive to me. But I think you’ve probably got several other people lined up to play [Wolverine]." Sounds to us like Hugh Jackman could definitely be talked into one last outing as Wolverine.

What we do know for definite, is that we are going to see Ryan Reynolds starring in the Deadpool movie on February 10 in the UK and February 12 in the US. Meanwhile, we will then get to see Hugh Jackman in Wolverine 3 on March 2, 2017 in the UK and March 3, 2017 in the US. We guess we will just have to wait and see what happens with the Deadpool sequel!
