Anthony Davis is leading the All-Star voting for Western Conference players and the difference in votes is so vast that it is not even a question of whether he will be chosen for the game despite his team rarely being featured on national television in the United States. 
However, while he will be part of the 2015 NBA All-Star game barring injury there is another question that is starting to become a popular topic of conversation among NBA basketball observers: "Is Anthony Davis the best basketball player in the NBA at the age of 21 years of age?"
This question a couple of year ago might have been meet with a 'rolling of the eyes' but in 2014-15 he is averaging an incredible statistical average of 23.8 points, per game, 10.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists while keeping the New Orleans Pelicans in 'striking' distance for a playoff spot.
When observers look at the 'help' he is receiving from his supporting cast of teammates the fact that his team is in is amazing as he is the only legitimate All-Star on his team.
Moreover, as many fans and NBA sports observers have noted, he might be the most desired player in the NBA, even more than Lebron James.
Imagine Lebron James with a better scoring touch, bigger, just as fast and younger by several years and that is Anthony Davis. When a player reaches the point where almost every team in the NBA would trade for him that is an indication that a 'changing of the guard' is taking place and the person who looks as if he deserves the throne is Anthony Davis.
Lebron James is the current king of the NBA but fans should prepare themselves for a new 'king' to take his place and that individual will very likely be Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans.
