When it was announced that J.J. Abrams had been given the job of directing the movie Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens, there were a few Stars Wars fans who were unsure about him being given the job, insisting that they were worried about what he would do to their beloved franchise. With that said, these fans will also be among the first to hit the theatre to see the new film, before giving their views on the project.
However, while these Star Wars fans who have not been too keen on J.J. Abrams directing the new movie have been worried about what he might do with the film, it looks like there is one thing that J.J. has planned which will win over every Star Wars fan on the planet. Talking about his ideas for Star Wars: Episode VI - The Force Awakens, the director has confirmed that he has made sure that Jar Jar Binks is dead, much to the delight of fans.
Abrams was chatting to the guys over at Vanity Fair, when he revealed his plans by saying, "I have a thought about putting Jar Jar Binks's bones in the desert there. I'm serious! Only three people will notice, but they'll love it."
That is certainly a great idea and great way to win over those sceptics, as Jar Jar Binks is easily the most despised character in Star Wars history and the fans will be delighted at this confirmation of his death. We cannot wait to see the new movie and keep our eyes open for the Jar Jar Binks reference.
Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens opens on December 18 in both the US and the UK.
