When it comes to casting an actor or an actress in the role of a superhero, it is almost impossible to please all of the comic book movie fans all of the time, although there are definitely some casting choices which sit better with fans more so than others. When it was announced that Game of Thrones hunk Jason Momoa had been cast in the role of Arthur Curry aka Aquaman, it seemed that most fans were interested to see just how well he would do in the role.
Well, we got our first real look at Jason Momoa as Aquaman in the Justice League movie, while he will also have his own standalone movie in the very near future. However, as much as we are looking forward to seeing what the Aquaman movie can bring us, there are also a number of other new Jason Momoa movies coming our way over the next few years, including the upcoming new film Braven.
One of the things that we are always most interested in, when it comes to taking a look at a new movie project, is just what we can look for in the plot, and it seems that Braven has a rather interesting one, with the official synopsis reading, "A logger defends his family from a group of dangerous drug runners." It definitely does not give much away and leaves plenty to the imagination.
While Jason Momoa is the big name draw in the Braven cast, there are also some very talented stars supporting, including the likes of Stephen Lang, Zahn McClarnon, Jill Wagner, and Garret Dillahunt, among others. Lin Oeding is on directing duties for Braven, working from a script that was developed by Michael Nilon and Thomas Pa'a Sibbett, with the movie expected to hit the big screen some time in 2018.
