While the Justice League movie had a huge amount of flaws in it, it did finally give us our first real look at some of our favourite characters from the DC comics, even if they were not exactly what we wanted them to be and even if the movie was seen as a miss by many of the fans and critics who have seen it.
Fortunately though, while Warner Bros. and DC seem to keep missing the mark with their team up movies, they have given us a lot of hope with their solo films, thanks to the huge success of the standalone Wonder Woman movie. So, with there being plans to bring us an Aquaman movie, fans are hoping that the mistakes that have been made in the Justice League film can be resolved in the standalone project.
Well, director James Wan has now been talking about what he hopes to bring us with his Aquaman movie and it sounds like we could well get a film that we are actually looking forward to. Wan shared, "It’s going to look very different, it will feel very different — aesthetically, tonally, story-wise — it’s my own take. It’s a much more a traditional action-adventure quest movie."
We have high hopes for the Aquaman movie and we cannot wait to see just how impressive those underwater scenes are going to be. If James Wan can deliver an Aquaman film that we all want, then he could well put his name in the frame for future Warner Bros. and DC projects.
The Aquaman movie is expected to hot the big screen on December 21, 2018 in both the US and the UK.
