British actor Paul Bettany is one of the many stars who has decided to move from being in front of the camera, to being behind it, as he makes his directorial debut with the new movie Shelter. Since Paul is married to the beautiful and talented actress Jennifer Connelly, it made perfect sense that he cast her in the film, although he did seem to have some reservations about it.

In Shelter, Jennifer Connelly plays the role of an emaciated drug addict, which required the talented actress to lose a lot of weight, in order to look the part. While the Jennifer Connelly weight loss looked perfect on the screen, Paul Bettany admitted that he was worried about how frail his wife looked.
Bettany explained, "It was awful and when I was with my kids, I was really worried about her. She had lost an enormous amount of weight. Then the moment that we were on set there was this sort of lizard brain and it kicked in and it went, 'Oh my God, look at her, she's so frail... It's going to be great to shoot'. I hated myself for that, but only in very small moments."

For those of you wanting to know more about the new movie, Shelter has been official described as "Hannah and Tahir fall in love while homeless on the streets of New York. Shelter explores how they got there, and as we learn about their pasts we realize they need each other to build a future."
Shelter opens on limited release in the US today (November 13) and is set to hit the big screen in the UK on December 11.
