Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence has become one of the most sought after actresses in the business and it is no surprise, considering the fact that she seems to deliver and Oscar worth movie almost every year. Jennifer Lawrence landed her first Oscar nomination for the 2010 movie Winter's Bone, before then winning her only Oscar for the 2012 movie Silver Linings Playbook. Jen was again nominated for the 2013 movie American Hustle and is in the running this year for her performance in Joy.
We have no doubt that we are going to see Jennifer Lawrence giving us plenty more Oscar worthy performances over the years and we could well get another one from her this year. Jennifer stars in the new movie Passengers, which could very well see the actress bagging herself another Oscar nod.
We already know a fair bit about what to expect from the new movie but, for those of you who wish to learn more about the project, Passengers has been officially described as, "A spacecraft traveling to a distant colony planet and transporting thousands of people has a malfunction in one of its sleep chambers. As a result, a single passenger is awakened 60 years early. Faced with the prospect of growing old and dying alone, he eventually decides to wake up a second passenger."
As well as starring Jennifer Lawrence in the female lead role, Passengers also stars Chris Pratt in the male lead, while the supporting cast includes the likes of Michael Sheen (well his voice at least) and Laurence Fishburne, among others. Passengers is being directed by Morten Tyldum, based on the screenplay penned by Jon Spaihts, with the movie expected to hit the big screen on December 21 in the US and December 23 in the UK.
