From the moment that it was announced that Hollywood veteran Ben Affleck was going to take on the role of Bruce Wayne aka Batman for the new DC and Warner Bros. movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, there were a lot of people who felt that it was a very poor choice and are just waiting to see just how bad a job the actor does in the iconic role.

However, over the course of the past few months, we have heard plenty from the other stars in the movie, all backing Ben Affleck, claiming that he has done a fantastic job on the project and that fans will be pleasantly surprised by his performance as Batman. Now, actor Jeremy Irons, who plays the role of Alfred in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, has claimed that Ben will win over even his harshest critics.
Jeremy was talking about his new movie Race, when talk turned to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with the actor saying, "He [Ben Affleck] is extraordinary, quite extraordinary, and Zack Snyder, the director, fantastic vision. I think the public will have a great treat in store." Let's hope that he is right about that.

We have to admit that, from the few pieces of footage that we have seen of Ben Affleck as Batman, we have been impressed and hope that we will not be disappointed once the movie is finally released. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to hit the big screen on March 25 in both the US and the UK.
