We have seen a huge amount of video games being adapted for the big screen over the years and, while some of the have gone on to prove successful, there have been plenty of others that have absolutely flopped. It is interesting then, that there are still a number of video games being adapted for the big screen over the next few years, with Assassin's Creed among the most exciting of them all.
We already know that Michael Fassbender will star in the lead role for the Assassin's Creed film, while Marion Cotillard will take on the female lead and now we have some more casting news. It has been confirmed that we are going to see Brendan Gleeson and Jeremy Irons joining the cast of the movie, which looks like it is coming along very nicely indeed.
While we do not know a great deal about the plot of the movie, we can get a good idea about what to expect from the Assassin's Creed video games. Meanwhile, the Assassin's Creed movie has been described as "When Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) explores the memories of his ancestor Aguilar and gains the skills of a Master Assassin, he discovers he is a descendant of the secret Assassins society." We look forward to seeing how this plays out on the big screen.
We are very excited about the fact that we are going to see Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard joined by Brendan Gleeson and Jeremy Irons in the movie and we have high hopes for the Assassin's Creed film. Justin Kurzel is on directing duties for Assassin's Creed, based on a screenplay that has been adapted by Bill Collage, Adam Cooper and Michael Lesslie, with a release date set for December 21, 2016 in the US and December 30, 2016 in the UK.
