The Marvel Cinematic Universe has become absolutely huge and continues to get even bigger on a yearly basis, with so many new characters being added to the MCU. With that in mind, it is no surprise that Marvel have decided that the time is now right to get rid of a few of the characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with some of our favourite stars expected to make way.
There have been plenty of rumours that we are going to see Chris Evans bringing his time to an end as Captain America, as well as the suggestions that we are going to see Robert Downey Jr stepping down as Iron Man, but what other characters are we likely to see making way at some point over the course of the next two Avengers movies?
Actor Jeremy Renner plays the role of Clint Barton aka Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and we already know that he will make it out of Avengers: Infinity War alive, since he has been talking about his costume for Avengers 4. So, with that in mind, could we see Hawkeye being killed off in Avengers 4, in order to make way for some of the new characters who are coming through?
To be fair, it would not be a huge loss to see Hawkeye leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universe, while they would not actually have to kill the character off and could just have him walking away from the big boys. Some fans have called for Jeremy Renner to get his own Hawkeye series on Netflix, which could be a great direction to take the character. We will just have to wait and see.
