Jesse McCartney is returning to music
McCartney amazed the crowd with an acoustic version of his new single, "Back Together." At the preshow, the actor turned singer debuts a more mature sound that features sexier and smoother vocals. "Back together" is the first single for his new album titled, "In Technicolor Part 1." Jesse describes this album as being inspired by pop-disco. The four song album will be released on December 10th. This is just a preview of the full length album slated to be released next year. Why is he making such an unconventional move? Jesse tells Billboard, "I want to put something out for the fans -- they've been more than patient. And I wanted to give them a taste of [new music], because the style of the new album is so different from the previous album."
During his hiatus, Jesse has been focused on his acting career. The singer/actor got his big break on the WB's Summerland. Since then, he has had a steady career in acting. His most recent credits include Army Wives. He has even ventured into voice animation with Young Justice on Cartoon Network and the Alvin and the Chipmunk featured movies. The fourth Alvin and the Chipmunk's movie has been announced and has a 2015 release date.
