There was once a time when Hollywood funny man Jim Carrey was the go to guy if you wanted your new movie to be a huge success, with the talented star having a string of hugely successful movies to his name. Unfortunately though, things took a bit of a turn for the worse for Jim, who had a number of issues going on in his personal life, which ultimately affected his acting career.

Among these issues going on in his personal life, Jim Carrey also suffered from some very bad depression, which is seen by many as being the main cause of many of the issues he has faced over the year. Jim has now opened up about his battle with depression, admitting that he now seems to have a handle on things and it no longer controls his life.
Carrey was chatting to i magazine, when he told them, "At this point, I don’t have depression. There is not an experience of depression. I had that for years, but now, when the rain comes, it rains, but it doesn’t stay. It doesn’t stay long enough to immerse me and drown me anymore."

He added, "What’s happening is really good, but there is some really bad in there too. Some people have come at me in the last couple of years with the intent of breaking off a piece of the Holy Grail for themselves, but the Grail isn’t a thing that you can break off. So they’re going to learn that the hard way. It’s not pleasant."
As far as his acting career is concerned, Jim Carrey is lined up to star in the lead role for the planned new television series Kidding. Let's hope this is the start of something big for him.
