When it was revealed at the end of The Dark Knight Rises that Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s character John Blake was to take over from Batman as the protector of Gotham, and the fact that his birth name was Robin, many people began questioning whether a Robin spin-off movie would be on the cards. Joseph has since confirmed that he could be tempted by it but the decision was out of his hands.
Gordon-Levitt explained to Shortlist, “That's not up to me. I don't have the rights to that character, but I pick my projects the same way. If there's a script I find inspiring and a filmmaker I have a connection with, I'm interested.”

Joseph also went on to reveal that he was one of the few people that knew that his character was Robin, as he was one of the only people director Christopher Nolan gave a full script. Gordon-Levitt added that he was happy to keep the secret as he did not want to spoil it for anybody who did not know.
He added, “He told me before I read the script. I was one of a handful of people who had a complete script for the last pages, so I knew all along. I was happy to keep it a secret. It's such a fantastic ending, I think. And I certainly didn't want to spoil it. It's a movie that I'm enormously honoured and proud to be a part of and the last thing I would want is to contaminate anybody's experience of it.”
Do you think a Robin spin-off movie could work? Who do you think could do a good job of helming the project?
