Since it was confirmed that Andrew Garfield would not be returning to play Peter Parker aka Spider-Man, now that Sony have agreed to let Marvel use the character, there have been plenty of rumours about which actor will be cast in his place. We have already heard names such as Logan Lerman, Dylan O'Brien, Zac Efron, and Anton Yelchin being mentioned but name another name has come up.

Spider-Man is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Hollywood star Josh Hutcherson actually auditioned for the role of Spider-Man in the past, ultimately losing out to Andrew Garfield but the actor has insisted that he would definitely be interested in taking on the role now. Josh has plenty of experience with huge movie franchises, playing Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games movies, so he could be the perfect candidate to play Spidey.
Hutcherson was recently chatting to Yahoo Movies, when he told them, "Yeah, of course I'd think about doing it: It's Spider-Man, that'd be really cool. There's not been any conversations about that, but who knows what would happen?"

Could Josh Hutcherson be the right fit?
It has previously been claimed that we will get our first look at the new Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man, when he makes his debut in Captain America: Civil War, which will hit the big screen on April 29, 2016 in the UK and May 6, 2016 in the US. However, there have been some rumours surfacing of late, that suggest that we could even see Spider-Man in the Avengers: Age of Ultron end credits scene. Watch this space!
