It seems that the lads in Kasabian are not happy about the lack of good music that is being made at the moment and they are certainly not afraid to air their views. Frontman Tom Meighan stated that he believes there is too much pop and not enough rock ‘n’ roll, while guitarist Serge Pizzorno also admitted that he was not very impressed with a lot of the music about today.
Meighan explained, "There's a rock 'n' roll drought at the moment, so I'm glad we're here. People are frightened of making records that sound good on the radio." Meanwhile, Pizzorno continued the bands theme of annoyance by adding, "We've been overrun by pop and I hate that indie attitude. Life's too short to give a f**k.
He concluded, "I'm not religious, I don't think there's anything after this, so I'm here to have a good time and this is the one chance I've got. So get me the f**king fur coat and let's crack on. One k**bhead might go, 'Oh, I don't like that'. But who cares?" Kasabian also believe that they do not receive the credit that their work actually deserves and that they have the same spirit as legendary UK band Oasis.
