When you are in the entertainment industry, it is sometimes better to keep some of your opinions to yourself, or risk the wrath of Hollywood. That is exactly what has happened to actress Katherine Heigl, who has been talking about her relationship with Hollywood.

Katherine Heigl starred in Knocked Up
Over the course of her career, Katherine Heigl appeared in the hit comedy movie Knocked Up, alongside Seth Rogen, as well as having a role in the hit television series Grey's Anatomy. However, Katherine said decided to criticise her character arc on Grey's Anatomy, while also saying that Knocked Up was sexiest, which led to Hollywood turning on her.
Heigl told Marie Claire, "This thing that was my best friend for a long time suddenly turned on me. And I didn’t expect it. I was taken by surprise and angry at it for betraying me. I had a moment where, I don’t know, I was thinking, 'Maybe open a knitting store, get my money out of retirement accounts and live off that, live off the land.’"

Katherine Heigl was also in Grey's Anatomy
While Katherine Heigl clearly feels that she was turned on in a big way, by the industry and also by a lot of her fans, it does seem that she understands why her career did not go in the direction that she expected. Katherine has clearly accepted that her role choices led to her becoming typecast.
Heigl added, "I had my moment where it all seemed so complicated and all I wanted to do was simplify. I had an amazing time. I love romantic comedies. I was so stoked to be doing them. But maybe I hit it a little too hard. I couldn’t say no… maybe I overloaded my audience. I should have done a superhero movie or a psychological thriller."
Katherine Heigl will now make her television return, when she appears in the upcoming new NBC series State of Affairs.
