Over the years we have seen many impressive television shows coming and going and when the more popular ones come to an end, the fans always call for a reunion episode or a movie to get made. While not all of these shows go on to make movies, there are some that are a lot luckier, such as Veronica Mars, which will make it to the big screen thanks to a Kickstarter campaign.

Kristen Bell loves playing Veronica Mars
With the Veronica Mars movie due to open later in the week, the stars involved in the project have spoken about it, with the star of the movie Kristen Bell also giving her views on the project. Kristen says that she loves playing Veronica Mars and is a fan of the character from a viewers perspective, as she feels female characters are more exciting.
During an interview with Huffington Post, Bell explained, "The hunger is definitely there for this female character because she’s this interesting paradox of vulnerable and confident. And I think a lot of women are. For me as a viewer, it’s inherently more interesting to watch a female because of the layers she possesses. I’m just glad that other audience members feel the same."

The Veronica Mars gang
As well as starring Kristen Bell, the Veronica Mars movie will also boast a cast that includes the likes of James Franco, Krysten Ritter, Gaby Hoffmann, Eden Sher, Dax Shepard, Tina Majorino, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jason Dohring, Martin Starr and Justin Long. The Veronica Mars movie is directed by Rob Thomas and opens on March 14 in both the US and the UK.
