With the amount of Hollywood hunks that were linked to the role of Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, it was no surprise that Robert Pattinson was one of the favourites for the role. There was even talk at one stage, that Robert was offered the role but chose not to accept it.

Now, there is a new rumour doing the rounds, which claims that Robert Pattinson asked Kristen Stewart whether she thought he should take the role. It is said that Kristen talked him out of playing Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, as it would label him for life.
A source told Yahoo! omg!, "Kristen told him 'Fifty Shades' would be a disaster for him. 'He's haunted by 'Twilight' and being too identified with that role, taking 'Fifty Shades...' would mean a worse label for the rest of his career."

The insider added, "Kristen told him that, creatively, he shouldn't do it, but if it's about fame and money, he should. She told him he had to make the choice between the two, but warned that it would stick with him."
Following Robert Pattinson's rejection, Charlie Hunnam was given the role, before he decided to quit and Jamie Dornan was cast as Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey film.
