Kyle Chandler's career has shot into the stratosphere after he wrapped up his stint as Eric Taylor on 'Friday Night Lights'. For years, Chandler was known as Coach Taylor, and the show definitely introduced him to Hollywood. After running for five years with incredibly strong reviews, it was finally taken off the air in 2011.

However, that certainly didn't slow down his career. Both and Connie Britton [who also starred on the show] have continued working non-stop. After wrapping up the final season of Friday Night Lights, Chandler was immediately seen in JJ Abram's summer blockbuster 'Super 8' in 2011, and then jumped into two Oscar contenders 'Argo' and 'Zero Dark Thirty' in 2012.
Chandler continues to work with great directors and actors, and he has no less than four prestige films coming in 2013. He starred in 'Broken City' with Russell Crowe, Mark Wahlberg, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. While the film didn't do that well at the box office, he did create a strong rapport with Crowe, Wahlberg, and Zeta-Jones.

Then, he had a major role in the indie hit 'The Spectacular Now' with Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller. The film premiered at Sundance to very strong reviews, and it's been picked up for distribution later this year. He has a TV movie called 'The Vatican', which isn't just any TV movie - it's directed by Ridley Scott and costars Matthew Goode and Anna Friel. Then, he has Martin Scorsese's 'The Wolf of Wall Street' with Leonardo DiCaprio, which is sure to become another Oscar contender.
