There are certain occasions and events that take place on a yearly basis, which get fans around the world very excited and one of them just so happens to be the Eurovision song contest, which has been running for 60 years now. While the competition sees countries from around Europe competing against one another, there has been a slight change to proceedings this year.

The Minogue sisters
It has been confirmed that Australia will be allowed to enter the Eurovision song contest for the first time in its 60 year history and the public have been very vocal about who they want to represent them. here has been a huge call for Australian sisters Kylie Minogue and Dannii Minogue to perform at the Eurovision song contest this year, which would be a difficult double team to beat.
Unfortunately though, Dannii Minogue was recently talking to the music writer Cameron Adams, when she all but ruled it out, explaining, "Apparently we're the go-to girls for Eurovision. The dream team. I couldn't really see Kylie do it (sic)... I don't think she would." That is definitely going to be disappointing news for the Australian fans.

Dannii Minogue is in the running
While Dannii Minogue does seem to rule out any chance of Kylie Minogue representing Australia at the Eurovision song contest, she does not actually rule herself out. Could we see Dannii Minogue taking to the stage to perform for her country in their first ever appearance? We will just have to wait and see.
The 2015 Eurovision song contest is scheduled to take place in Vienna, Austria in May. We cannot wait!
