While there is no denying that the Star Wars movies are among the biggest and most successful movies to ever hit the big screen, there have been a lot of questions asked of the latest offering Star Wars: The Last Jedi, with a lot of the fans around the world being very disappointed with the movie and how a lot of the key points were handled by director Rian Johnson.

The next instalment, Star Wars: Episode IX, will see director J.J. Abrams returning to helm and many fans are wondering just what he could do to fix the mess that Rian Johnson created. There has been a lot of talk about which characters will be killed off and which former characters will return, with many suggesting that it would be pretty cool to see Liam Neeson returning as Qui-Gon Jinn.
Well, the actor himself has been talking about the possibility of making a return as Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars: Episode IX and he has admitted that, while he could be open to the idea, he has not had any contact from anyone involved with the new movie.

Neeson shared, "This is the first time I’m hearing of this. No one’s been in touch with me. I know in the Star Wars world anything is possible. In the first one, The Phantom Menace, I died but we know, you know, Jedis come back and stuff but no one’s been in touch."
Star Wars: Episode IX is set to hit the big screen on December 20, 2019.
