One Direction singer Liam Payne may well be newly single but he won't stay that way for long with his gentlemanly and chivalrous ways. Liam was out in Mayfair's Funky Buddha nightclub this week, when he had a bit of an altercation with four Tottenham Hotspur players.

Liam and the Spurs players, Aaron Lennon, Tom Huddleston, Jake Livermore and Kyle Walker, were all sat in the VIP section of the club, where the minimum spend is £5000 a night, when Liam felt that they were being a bit too offensive towards the waitress, so decided to go over and give them a piece of his mind.
The Daily Record quote a supposed friend of Liam's as saying, "The footballers were with four other guys and two girls, and had vodka and various mixers on their table. Liam was with friends a few tables away."

The source added, "Out of nowhere were there was a commotion, Liam looked over and thought the players were giving the waitress a hard time. He went straight over to sort it out. You've got to admire him for wanting to help the lady."
It is nice to see the Tottenham Hotspur players taking their challenge for a Champions League spot so seriously. They play Sunderland on Sunday in a match they must win and hope results go their way.
