Summer Bishil is playing the Pakistani clerk Samira Lashari in ABC's 'Lucky 7,' but she's no stranger to the screen. In fact, Summer made a name for herself first as Jasira in the acclaimed 2007 series Towelhead. For that role she earned a Best Actress nomination at the 2008 Independent Spirit Awards.

Fans will recognize Summer from her work on The Last Airbender
That's not Summer's only claim to fame, however. Fans of M. Night Shyamalan's work will recognize her as Princess Azula from his live-action adaptation of the anime series Avatar: The Last Airbender. It's truly a shame that the film did poorly at the box office, as Azula would have had a darker character turn as the main antagonist in the film's sequel.
In Lucky 7, she stars with Lorraine Bruce, who jumped on the chance to play the role of Denise Dibinsky after also starring in the UK version of the series, 'The Syndicate'. She is the only British cast member from the original show to appear in the American version, but that certainly hasn't dulled her excitement.

Unfortunately, 'Lucky 7' didn't receive good reviews on its first night, and suffered from tepid ratings. Fans hope that this will quickly reverse over the coming weeks, as ABC has a tendency of quickly cancelling any series that doesn't meet its ratings expectations.
