Lucy Liu covers this month’s issue of Fitness Magazine and talks about how she manages to stay so healthy and fit despite her busy schedule. She explains to Fitness that it’s all about Pilates, saying, “Ten years of Pilates has really changed my body for the better. [The exercise routine] introduced me to muscles I never even knew I had."
She also adds that when her schedule gets really busy, she tries to combine her other activities with exercise, saying, "I don't always, but I can do Pilates at home with a ball and I have a treadmill. I run while watching Downton Abbey, and I'll increase the speed a little at a time, decrease it, and then raise it again. Each time I'll say, 'Just another 0.2 miles.' I've found running is the fastest way to lose weight."
While Liu admits that she’s always been motivated to exercise, it’s always better having a group of friends to keep you motivated, and we couldn’t agree more. Lucy Liu has one of the best bodies in the industry, and while she was never unhealthy to begin with, it’s remarkable seeing how toned her body has become.
Pilates also seems to be the exercise routine of choice when it comes to a lot of celebrities, and the results seem to fool-proof. Liu can currently been seen on the hit CBS show ‘Elementary’, which also stars Jonny Lee Miller and Aidan Quinn.
