It has been reported that two of Manchester United’s 20 man squad forget to take their passport to the airport for their trip to Amsterdam, where they face Ajax in the Europa League. Forward Danny Welbeck and winger Nani both left their passports at home, a mistake usually made by a younger player being given his big European break, not by two of the more experienced players in the squad.

While it seemed that Manchester United may have to travel without the two senior players, one of the members of the Manchester United security team was on hand to save the day. He raced back to the players homes and collected their passports before returning to Manchester Airport with plenty of time to spare.
Fortunately for Danny Welbeck and Nani, they were then able to make the trip to Holland, without feeling the wrath of their manager Sir Alex Ferguson. It was thought that Ryan Giggs would make his 900th appearance for Manchester United tonight but he has not made the trip. Other players that have stayed back in England include forward Dimitar Berbatov and full back Patrice Evra.
