When you are working on a hit television show in Hollywood, you find that most of your time is taken up with having to shoot each season, not leaving you very much time to work on many other projects. While some of these television stars decide to head off on vacation during to hiatus between seasons, there are others who do like to try to find some other acting work to get their teeth into.
Actress Marie Avgeropoulos has become best known for playing the role of Octavia Blake in the hit The CW television series The 100, but she will be using her next break from the show to work on a new project. Marie is due to star in the planned new movie Butterfly in the Typewriter, which is currently in pre-production and is expected to begin shooting later in the year.
It is always good to see a television star working on new movies, especially one that seems as intriguing as Butterfly in the Typewriter, which has been described as "The story of troubled author John Kennedy Toole and his struggle to bring his comic masterpiece "A Confederacy of Dunces" to print."
While we have to admit that we were drawn to this project due to the fact that Marie Avgeropoulos is involved, there are actually some other interesting stars, including the likes of Diane Kruger, Susan Sarandon, Nick Offerman, Matthew Modine, and Cary Elwes, to name just a few. As well as preparing to direct Butterfly in the Typewriter, David DuBos also wrote the screenplay for the movie, with a release date still to be determined.
