Movies based on video games do not exactly have the best of reputations in Hollywood, with the only real exception being the Resident Evil franchise. However, there are still a string of new video game movies coming our way in the near future, starting with the Assassin's Creed film, which will hit the big screen later in the year.

Assassin's Creed has not even been released yet but already the stars of the movie have moved on to their next projects. Actress Marion Cotillard plays the female lead role in the Assassin's Creed movie and, as she waits for the films big release, she has already moved on to her new project Allied, which is already in production.
With filming for the new movie already well underway, we have already heard a little about what to expect from the film, with Allied being officially described as, "Set in 1942 following a French-Canadian spy who falls in love and marries a French agent during a dangerous mission in Casablanca. He is notified that his wife is likely a Nazi spy and begins his own investigation of her."

As well as starring Marion Cotillard, Allied boasts a very impressive cast, which includes such big name stars as Brad Pitt, Lizzy Caplan, Charlotte Hope, Matthew Goode, and Raffey Cassidy, to name just a few. Allied is being directed by Robert Zemeckis, based on the screenplay written by Stephen Knight, with the movie set to hit the big screen on November 23.
