While we have to admit that we love comic book movies and we are always eager for more great adaptations on the big screen, we have been less than impressed with what we have seen from the DC Extended Universe so far and many fans are not holding much hope for the new movies that they have coming up over the next few years, following many rumours about the issues that they constantly find themselves battling.
However, one movie that pretty much every comic book fan in the world is interested in seeing, is the Aquaman movie, as we are all eager to see what they are going to do with the character and how they are going to make the underwater scenes work on the big screen. It is not just the fans who are interested though, as it seems that their rivals Marvel are waiting to see what happens with the Aquaman film, before then deciding whether to give us a Namor the Submariner film.
A supposed source explained, "Marvel fans have been calling for a Namor movie for some time now and he would certainly be a great addition to the MCU. However, the top execs are keen to see how Warner Bros. and DC fair with their Aquaman movie before they do make a final decision on a Namor film."
So, even if you are a huge Marvel fan and are against all things DC, you must still be hoping and praying that they make a success of the Aquaman movie, as it sounds like the success of Aquaman could well lead to us finally getting a Namor the Submariner movie. Fingers crossed, guys!
