Following the Transformers movie trilogy, it was expected that director Michael Bay would leave the project and a new person would come on board, with new plans and new ideas for the franchise. However, Michael had a change of heart and has directed the movie Transformers: Age of Extinction. Actress Nicola Peltz plays the female lead in the movie but how does she compare to her predecessors?

Megan Fox starred in the first two transformers movies
Well, first we need to go back to the first Transformers movie, which saw Megan Fox starring in the lead role of Mikaela Banes, reprising the role for the sequel Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Most of the scenes involving Megan saw the actress running around, with her boobs bouncing all over the place, which the actress did not approve of. Fox and Michael Bay had a falling out about this and Megan Fox was axed from the franchise.
With Megan Fox being sacked from the Transformers movie franchise, a new actress was needed on board and, once again, Michael Bay opted for someone stunning, in the form of model turned actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who was making her big screen debut. Rosie played the role of Carly in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, with both the movie and the actress being slated by the critics.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was in Transformers 3
Now we have actress Nicola Peltz set to appear on the big screen in the new movie Transformers: Age of Extinction, which will see her taking on the role of Tessa Yeager. We look forward to seeing what Nicola brings to the Transformers franchise and it will be interesting to see how many Transformers movies she appears in.
Transformers: Age of Extinction opens today (June 27) in the US, before then hitting the big screen in the UK on July 5.
