Mia Wasikowska is one of the most underrated actresses of her generation, so it's always great to hear that she's been cast in new projects and is continuing to work the best filmmakers. The latest round of casting news announces that Wasikowska has just been cast in David Cronenberg's new thriller 'Maps to the Stars', along with Olivia Williams.

Mia Wasikowska has joined the cast of 'Maps to the Stars'
Wasikowska was most recently seen in 'Stoker', for which she earned rave reviews from critics. The film didn't really live up to expectations at the box office, but that has not seemed to slow down Wasikowksa's career at all.
'Maps to the Stars' is aiming to shoot starting July, which means that Wasikowska will be going back-to-back with films this fall. She also has 'Sils Maria' and 'Madame Bovary' in pre-production, and both will likely shoot before the end of this year.

Olivia Williams has also joined the cast of Maps to the Stars
Cronenberg's Maps to the Stars features newcomer Evan Bird as a drug addicted child star, with Wasikowska playing his fame-hungry sister and Williams playing his mother. There's no release date set for the film yet, but it will probably be making an awards run in the fall of 2014.
