It is fair to say that the majority of video games that have been developed for the big screen have been flops and it is a bit of a gamble these days, to decide to adapt a video game into a movie. However, there are still plenty of different video games that will become movies over the course of the coming years and we are looking forward to seeing how success they can be.

Marion Cotillard will appear in the movie
There has been a lot of talk about an Assassin's Creed movie for many years now and the project is finally beginning to come together nicely. We already know that we are going to see Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard starring in the Assassin's Creed film and now it has been confirmed that the movie will open on December 21, 2016.
There are a number of different Assassin's Creed games, so it is not yet totally clear which of the games the movie will focus on but it has been described as "A convicted felon is recruited by a company called 'Abstergo' to explore the mind of his ancestor in order to recover a sacred artifact." Meanwhile, some people have suggested that the Assassin's Creed movie will not be based on one game alone.

Michael Fassbender stars in Assassin's Creed
While we currently know that Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard will star in the Assassin's Creed movie, we do not yet know which other stars will join them in the project. We expect to get plenty more casting news in the coming weeks and months, as it is expected that the Assassin's Creed film will begin shooting this summer, as it aims for its December 21, 2016 release date.
