We have seen a lot of actors having their differences with Marvel over the years and, while Marvel are a company who will not stand for any nonsense from an actor or actress, there are also some stars who will not put up with what Marvel give in return. One such star in Mickey Rourke, who played the role of the villain Ivan Vanko in the 2010 movie Iron Man 2.

Mickey Rourke says that he spent months researching the character and putting in the preparation for the role, as he wanted to give the best performance that he possibly could. However, much to his disappointment, Mickey found that some of his more dramatic scenes were cut out, "I'm not a Marvel fan... I did, once, a movie for Marvel... and they cut the whole f**king thing out..." Rourke said.
While Mickey Rourke has insisted that he would never work with Marvel on a movie project ever again, due to the way he was treated, he has stated that he would definitely work with Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller again. Mickey worked with Robert and Frank on Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and he had a very enjoyable experience working on the movie.

Rourke added, "When you work with Robert, he knows what he wants so you're not doing a whole bunch of (unnecessary work). I do a whole bunch of research, work on the character a lot, so when you bring it to the table, it's disappointing when they cut stuff out... And then Frank's on the set and he puts his two cents in, so it's great because you've got two guys who are very enthusiastic and know exactly what they want."
You can catch Mickey Rourke in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, when the movie opens on August 22 in the US and August 25 in the UK.
