It seems that the raunchy performance given by Miley Cyrus at the MTV Video Music Awards has led to a bit of a Twitter war, as people's opinions over the performance vary. Kelly Clarkson came out and slammed Miley Cyrus, which has led to some of her friends speaking out in her defence.

Dominic Riccitello took to Twitter to say, "Kelly Clarkson called Miley a pitchy stripper. Do you think she's mad because her past few singles flopped and wasn't asked to perform?"
Cheyne Thomas then added, "And she's fat and 30...the reasons Kelly Clarkson is bitter could really go on for day[s]..." before going on to say, "Not 'starting a battle' it's not that serious.. Was just being a sarcastic asshole as usual .. I'm really not to be taken seriously."

Meanwhile, Riccitello then defended his comments, adding, "Why is it ok to call someone a slut but it's not ok to call someone fat double standards are so funny."
Other stars to speak out in defence of Miley Cyrus include Adam Lambert and Selena Gomez, while Will Smith denied that his families shocked picture was in response to the performance.
