Every once in a while a person comes along who captures the hearts and imagination of the entire world, proving that there really is something special and exciting deep down inside all of us. One such person to do just that was the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali who was self-proclaimed "The Greatest" and with good reason.
One of the biggest fights in history
While Muhammad Ali became one of the greatest sportsmen of all time, proving just how great he was in the ring, he also proved what a special person he was outside of the ring. Many boxers have tried to emulate Muhammad Ali with his trash talk but they all fall short, as there will never be another star who can engage people like he did. Over the years, Muhammad Ali gave us some brilliant quotes and here we give you a few of our favourites.
Among our favourite Muhammad Ali quotes are, "I'm so fast that last night I turned off the light switch in my hotel room and was in bed before the room was dark," as well as, "It's just a job. Another huge fight
Muhammad Ali was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 1984 and it has been heartbreaking to see the decline of his health over the years. The great man who loved to talk now reduced to silence is one of the most emotional things in history. Now, 30 years later, at the age of 72, Muhammad Ali is still holding on to life and we wish him all the best.
