Rumours have been flying around recently that British urban group N-Dubz are splitting up, due to Tulisa Contostavlos joining X Factor. However, it is strongly believed that these rumours are just hearsay and that the band are very much together, with future projects firmly in the pipeline.

A source started the rumour by saying, "Dappy is livid about the whole situation. Tulisa has a new passion now - and that's not what they got into the business for. He has thrown himself into his solo career because, as far as he is concerned, N-Dubz is all but over. The last album didn't do as well as he hoped and X Factor has caused a lot of problems between them."
Yet Tulisa has stressed time and time again that, her being a judge on X Factor will by no means jeopardise the future of the band. She said, “I am still a member of N-Dubz & they will b my team till the day I die. People that dont know r story can never understand how important r loyalty is as a band.” Also a spokesperson for the band insisted, "The band will continue despite solo projects. They have gigs throughout 2011 and plans are in place for another single and album. The band are definitely not splitting up."

It appears to us that, while Tulisa is currently involved in X Factor, Dappy has simply decided to keep himself active by working on some solo material. X Factor will not be finished until the end of the year and with the time it will take N-Dubz to write, record and produce a new album, after the reality show, it is likely to be the middle of next year that we get to hear their next offering. I for one wish N-Dubz all the luck for the future.
