Elvis Presley has never been outside of the spotlight, even in the early days of his career. In “The Rebel and the King: Posthumous” we get a glimpse of his rise to fame and insights into his life as a young star. This detailed book, written by actor Nick Adams, is a first-hand account of what it’s like to share a bond with the King.

Elvis Presley was the king
The late Nick Adams shared many behind-the-scenes moments with Presley in the early days of their careers. Adams, known best for his role on ‘The Rebel,’ a western television series, recorded the manuscript as the events took place in his life. This makes the book unlike anything anyone has ever read about either Adams or Presley.
While releasing the accounts confused some fans at first, the story from beyond the grave is very insightful. The manuscript was discovered by Adam’s daughter, Allyson Adams, who promptly decided to edit it. Previously unreleased photographs and a foreword by Allyson.

Elvis Presley in older years
In addition to his manuscript, Adams continues to be remembered as a great Hollywood actor. His appearances in classic films like Rebel Without a Cause and No Time for Sergeants will not be forgotten anytime soon. While his career as an actor was great, he had an untimely death at the age of 36. The new book will help paint a picture of what it was like not only being close to the King, but being a rising Hollywood star.
