Nikola Vucevic is the reason that many people in the Orlando Magic front office and a growing number throughout the NBA are starting to look back on the Dwight Howard trade as a win for the Magic. In 2012 Dwight Howard was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers because he wanted an NBA title. The evidence suggests he was not successful but prior to that the NBA world was laughing at the Magic wondering what they received in return for trading Dwight. The player that came to the Orlando Magic, center Nikola Vucevic has only become one of the best young centers in the NBA and in particularly the Eastern Conference.

Nikola Vucevic is a promising star
Mr. Vucevic in 2012 averaged 13 points and almost 12 rebounds a game and in 2013 he has improved his numbers to 17 points and 11 rebounds a game. In a league where teams will search all corners of the earth for young talented centers the Orlando Magic have one of the best in Nikola Vucevic.
Nikola has distinguished himself from some of his peers throughout the league in that he prefers to work close to the basket thus using his 7 foot height to his advantage in contrast to some other players who for some reason prefer to spend time on the perimeter despite being of similar height. In 2013 he has dominated opposing teams such as the Los Angeles Clippers against whom he scored 31 points and amassed 21 rebounds. His play is earning him praise from teammates and opponents as one of the players the Magic can build the team around.

Dwight Howard headed out
Sometimes when a major star is traded from a team judgement on the value of the trade should be withheld until the end of the season. Nikola Vucevic was not considered an important part of the Dwight Howard trade when it first occurred but his performance of both last season and this season has made the trade a win for the Orlando Magic.
