Former X Factor contestant Olly Murs returned to The X Factor stage last week for a live performance of his new single Troublemaker and Olly loved every minute of it. Olly currently presents The Xtra Factor but insists the he is a performer at heart and loved showing that he can still do it where it all began

Talking to Capital FM, Murs said, “It was great to go back and see the judges again and have a laugh. The thing about it is, when you're a presenter and on the show, you're literally on it every week - you do just want to go down and perform.”
He added, “Obviously I'm a singer in my own right and you see all these contestants performing - it's like, I want to showcase what I can do and I think it was a great way for me to do that at the weekend and I was so excited.”

Things could get even better for Olly Murs, as the midweek singles chart shows that his new single Troublemaker could be heading for number one, beating Girls Aloud’s Something New to the top spot. Olly was recently criticised for releasing three albums in three years but he has defended the decision.
