It seems that there is a rather large case of de ja vu going on, when it comes to One Direction and talking about their new album. Some of you may recall that, back in February 2012, One Direction claimed that their second album would be grungier and edgier. Well the boys are at it again.

The One Direction boys
One Direction are preparing to release their third studio album, which is out later this year, and they have said that the new album will be rockier and edgier. Louis Tomlinson said, "There will be a new album this year with a rockier and edgier tone to it," while Liam Payne added, "We've written a lot of the songs on it. It's a bit more edgy. It's grown as we've grown."
Considering that One Direction said that their second album would be grungier and edgier, yet it turned out to be another pop album, we have a feeling that there third album will follow the trend set by the first two. We will just have to wait and see.

One Direction's new album is out this year
It would be surprising if One Direction made any dramatic changes to the sound of their music, considering how huge they are on a global scale, but we could well hear a slight difference to it. Either way, we are sure it will be another great record from the biggest boyband in the World.
Do you think One Direction should change the sound of their music and go more rocky and edgy?
Not exactly grungy or edgy. Still a great song mind!!
