There has been quite a fair amount of talk about plus-size models in recent years, before things really took off in a big way, following Ashley Graham's appearance in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2015. Now, plus-size models are all the rage and we are getting more and more of these beautiful and confident women making a name for themselves in a big way.
Which brings us to the stunning star Iskra Lawrence, who is a plus-size model from the UK and has actually been working in the modelling industry since she was quite young. While most of you will probably best know Iskra from her modelling work in Aeries unretouched campaigns, she actually first got into the modelling game when she was just 13 years old, after her mother entered her into an Elle Girl contest.
As has been a case with a lot of these gorgeous plus-size models, Iskra Lawrence was dropped by her first modelling agency, after they told her that her hips were too big for what they were looking for. Iskra was then sent to a plus-size modelling agency, who then told her that she was not actually big enough for what they were looking for. She just couldn't win.
With all that said though, things eventually took a turn for the better and Iskra Lawrence is now regarded as one of the top plus-size models in the business. At the age of just 24, Iskra still has many years ahead of her in the modelling industry and we look forward to seeing her modelling career going from strength to strength.
