Hollywood comedy actor Owen Wilson has taken on a huge amount of comedy roles over the years, while he has also proven on occasions that he can also give us some serious performances when needed. In his new movie Inherent Vice, Owen will once again be taking on a comedy role but this time it is one of his more serious characters than we are used to.

Scene from Inherent Vice
Owen Wilson plays the role of Coy Harlingen in Inherent Vice, while Joaquin Phoenix will play the character Doc Sportello. Coy is a government informant who has a lot of unresolved trust issues and Owen has been talking about what fans can expect from the character in the movie.
Wilson said, "I'm the guy who's helping Doc to understand what's going on. Except I'm not able to ever really shed too much light on it so all our scenes have this mysterious quality to it, fringed with paranoia. I get the feeling that Coy sort of likes that feeling of paranoia. I loved his scenes. This stoner paranoia that runs through the movie I think harkens back to 'Cheech & Chong'. It is funny."
