When it was announced that Michael Bay was directing a movie with Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson, we were sure it was going to be another huge, over the top, large-scale action movie, which we weren't too keen on. However, it turned out that Michael was going for something different.

Michael Bay instead directed the action comedy movie Pain & Gain, which stars Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg in the lead roles. From what we have seen of Pain & Gain so far, it looks like it is going to be a great ride and we cannot wait for the movie to open on the big screen.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the movie, Pain & Gain is based on a true story and centres around a couple of bodybuilder's, played by Wahlberg and Johnson. The two men make a find themselves involved in a kidnap and extortion ring, which all goes very wrong.

Michael Bay has directed Pain & Gain which, as well as starring Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne Johnson, also stars Anthony Mackie, Rebel Wilson and Ed Harris, based on the screenplay which Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus developed. Pain & Gain will open in the US on April 26 and in the UK on March 3.
