Spanish beauty Penelope Cruz is known as one of the most attractive actresses in the movie industry and also as someone who is unafraid of controversy as she demonstrated in 2014 when she along with her husband signed a controversial open letter criticizing Israel's actions during the 2014 Israel-Gaza conflict. Thus the news that she sued the Danish tabloid 'Ekstra Bladet' and its editor over the publishing of topless photos taken of her while she was on a public beach in Spain with her husband was not a huge surprise to those who know the actress (Inquisitor - February 2).

The tabloid and its editor were cleared of any wrongdoing by the Copenhagen City Court after which she appealed to a higher court which also confirmed the earlier ruling and ordered her to pay the editor of the tabloid 25,000 kroner in compensation and to cover the court costs. However, even though she lost the court case (the battle) there are some entertainment observers and fans who believe that she won the war.
The tabloid removed the topless photos of the star who Esquire magazine named the "Sexiest Woman Alive" in 2014 which is very likely all she wanted as indications are she was most angry about the invasion of privacy.

Some entertainment observers and fans thought that Penelope Cruz might have a better chance conducting a dental exam on an elephant than she would at getting a tabloid to remove a topless picture of her, one of the most attractive women in the world whose body women try to duplicate through plastic surgery but the tabloid removed the picture.
Penelope Cruz lost the battle as the courts ruled in favour of the tabloid but she won the war because the topless pictures of her were removed by the Danish tabloid 'Esktra Bladet'. She also sent a message through her actions that she is an actress who is not afraid to fight and will fight to the bitter end. Beautiful and combative, a very attractive combination and something that adds to her appeal with her fans.
