Jennifer Lawrence has previously spoken about her friendship with new cast member Sam Claflin, but it was Josh Hutcherson calling their friendship a ‘bromance’ that showed how close the cast really became.

Sam Claflin was recently featured in Teen Vogue, and he discussed his time on the set of ‘Catching Fire’ and his friendship with the film’s two leading stars. When discussing Jennifer Lawrence, he says, “Jen is the most talented actress I have had the pleasure of working with. She is truly amazing. She has everything already and doesn’t have to try. But the fact that she is so professional and hardworking and willing to get her hands dirty makes her even more amazing.”
He also talks about Josh Hutcherson, adding, “With Josh, we hit it off from the first conversation we ever had, which was about soccer. He asked me if I like soccer, and I was like, Yes, I’m English! It kind of got blown out of proportion, spending time off set playing soccer. It’s a definite bromance. I think I’m quoting him on that, or Jen.”

Awwww! That should make Hunger Games fans happy, to know that their Finnick Odair and Peeta Mellark get on fabulously off-set. Their characters have limited interaction in the film, so it’s less of chemistry on-screen, but shows that the film has managed to integrate the new cast members well. However, it’s odd that no one has mentioned Jena Malone in interviews, considering that her character [Johanna Mason] is almost as important as Claflin’s character in the books. They just might not have had a chance to bring her up yet, but it’s definitely odd that Jennifer and Josh keep talking about Sam while ignoring Jena. It might just be because of the lack of questions about Jena, but in that case, buck up interviewers! We want all the details, not just about Sam Claflin’s diet and abs.
