Samantha Ruth Prabhu is considered the number one actress in Tollywood and Kollywood films but even with this recognition she has her detractors and challenges that she feels the need to dispel.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu looking gorgeous
In 2013 she became only the second actress to win both the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Actress and the Filmfare Award for Best Telugu Actress in the same year for the films "Neethaane En Ponvasantham" and "Eega". She has had several box office hits in Telugu and Tamil films but ironically she has not achieved commercial box office success in Kollywood, something she finds very frustrating considering that she grew up in Pallavaram.
Many of her critics have said that she is jinxed with regard to her Tamil films and as such she considers her upcoming film release "Anjaam" a make-or-break" film for her in Kollywood. To end this supposed jinx she has 'upped' her sensual glamour look for the movie.

During the Goa beach song she wore hot pants and a flowered shirt that was tied above the waist which looked so risque that the censors decided to edit it. Her goal is not only to help the movie become a box office hit but also to show fans and critics that she has the looks and personality to be more than the 'girl-next-door' and instead can play the gorgeous, intoxicating leading lady and even the femme fatale role.
In "Anjaan" she stars opposite fellow star Suriya and this pairing has fans and entertainment observers predicting that this outspoken Indian beauty is going to be a pleasant surprise to viewers and critics in the film and will be enjoying her first Kollywood commercial success.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu's "Anjaan" will be released on Friday August 15 and the actress who has no Bollywood plans seems ready to impress with her new look opposite Suriya. Look out Kollywood, here comes Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
