As we pretty much all expected, Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens has been a huge global success and as well as smashing box office records around the world, it has also managed to please a large amount of the hardcore Star Wars fans. As well as having the next two installments to look forward to, we also have a number of Star Wars spin-offs, including the Han Solo film.

There has been a lot of talk about which actor should take on the role of a young Han Solo for the Star Wars spin-off movie, with plenty of names being linked to the much coveted role. Well, it has now been reported that Disney have finally got their shortlist down to just eight actors, after originally seeing around 2500 people all fighting for the role of a lifetime.
The eight actors on the shortlist to play Han Solo in the Star Wars spin-off film are Miles Teller, Logan Lerman, Scott Eastwood, Jack Reynor, Dave Franco, Ansel Elgort, Blake Jenner, and Emory Cohen, and it already seems that there is a fans favourite for the role. Since the release of this shortlist, the vast majority of fans have been calling for Scott Eastwood to land the role.

Many people feel that Scott Eastwood has the wit and charisma to pull off the role of Han Solo, as well as having a similar look to that of a young Harrison Ford. There is no denying that Scott definitely has the acting talent to play the role and, with a solid script and a top director, Eastwood could well become a huge global superstar, much like his father Clint Eastwood.
