Over the years in Hollywood, we have seen a huge amount of books being adapted for the big screen and it was not too long ago that it was all the rage to adapt young adult novels for the big screen, which is pretty much all thanks to the huge success of The Hunger Games movie franchise. Many expected that the Divergent series would go on to enjoy the same level of success but that was not the case at all.
Well, British actor Sam Claflin had an important role in The Hunger Game movies, while American beauty Shailene Woodley was the lead star of the Divergent films, and the two stars are now preparing to share the big screen together. Shailene Woodley and Sam Claflin will work together on the upcoming new movie project Adrift, which does sound like it could have the potential to be an exciting film.
While we do not know a huge amount about what exactly is going to happen in Adrift, we do know that the new film will focus on the character played by Shailene Woodley, as she heads off out into the eye of a hurricane, in a bid to save the man she loves, as you can probably guess is played by Sam Claflin. We hope to learn a bit more about the movie over the coming weeks and months.
While the main focus of this new movie will be on Sam Claflin and Shailene Woodley, there will also be a supporting cast which is not exactly that big, since the majority of the film will be about these two characters out at sea on their own. Baltasar Kormakur is on directing duties for Adrift, working from a screenplay which has been penned by Jordan Kandell and Aaron Kandell, with the movie currently in the filming process and awaiting an official release date.
