With Modern Family due to return for its third run later this year on ABC, one of the shows stars, Sofia Vergara took the time to give a little insight into the cast and their characters. Sofia even admitted that she is probably most like her character in Modern Family, Gloria.
Vergara explained, "I think I'm the most similar [to my character]. I'm Latin, I have an accent, I have a kid from a previous marriage and I'm Colombian." She stated that Julie Bowen is “very into doing things perfectly" just like her character Claire in Modern Family.
Sofia added, "She's neurotic, in a good way. I think she and I get along so well because we're very different... There's no competition of any kind, which is what happens sometimes with women." Meanwhile she confessed that the person who is least like their character is Eric Stonestreet.
Vergara continued, "Eric plays a gay guy and he's not gay, so that's the most different." Sofia concluded, "Rico [Rodriguez], who plays my son, says he's not at all like Manny, but we all think he is - he's an old soul." Modern Family is set to return for its third season on ABC on September 21.
