Modern Family beauty Sofia Vergara might still have some issues going on in her personal life, what with the embryo court case with her ex Nick Loeb, but when it comes to her acting career, things just seem to keep getting better and better. As well as her continued role as Gloria in the hit television series, the actress also has a number of new movie projects set to come our way in the near future.
We have become big fans of Sofia Vergara over the years and, while we are always looking forward to any of the new projects she is involved in, there is one in particular we are very much looking forward to. Sofia will appear in the upcoming new movie Bent, which will star Dredd actor Karl Urban, and as well as having an impressive cast, it also sounds like it could play out well on the big screen.
Bent is described as, "It's the redemptive tale of Danny Gallagher, a shamed and discredited narcotics detective who, upon his release from prison, makes plans to seek revenge on the accuser who framed him and killed his partner. In seeking out the truth of what happened the night his partner was killed, and he was framed, Gallagher investigates the mysterious car bomb murder of a local bookie's sister. Gallagher soon discovers that the murder is connected to an elaborate conspiracy involving high-stakes treason with major international implications."
As well as starring Karl Urban and featuring Sofia Vergara, the rest of the cast of Bent include such talents as Vincent Spano, Andy Garcia, and Grace Byers, among others. Bent has been directed by Robert Moresco, with the movie currently in post-production and awaiting an official release date.
